Metabolic health has gotten a lot of attention lately and (to some extent) for good reasoning. Often times when we hear the word metabolism, we instantly and singlehandedly think of weight. Weight gain, weight loss, inability vs. ability to gain or lose weight, etc. But the truth is, our metabolic health plays a role in EVERY system in our body, not just a number on a scale.

Later on in this post, I’ll talk about the different ways that you can naturally support your thyroid function (which in turn) will support your metabolism. But right now, let’s dive right into one tool that can be used to test metabolic function (as well as progesterone levels). Basal Body Temperatures.
Heat is a direct reflection of energy produced in the body, so let’s use the heat we are producing to our advantage shall we?
